Upset with McAfee

I’m pretty upset with McAfee; is anyone else?  I’m specifically talking about the new version that was automatically downloaded over Virus Scan – their SecurityCenter Version 7.0.  They took their small, effective, efficient virus protection program and glutton it; turning it into a behemoth, inefficient, ineffective, system speed killing, annoying program.  All of those were the reasons I moved everyone I knew away from Symantec’s Norton AntiVirus program over the past couple of years!

It annoyed me enough tonight to finally blog about it!  Okay; I feel better now.  Thanks for listening.

    I fully agree. We recently updated our home product and it pretty much rendered our computer useless.

    I fixed the problem by uninstalling everything except the virus scanning portion. Unfortunately I wouldn’t (and won’t) recommend McAfee anymore.
