At my company, we normally require not only a guarantee, but also that the software/license be held in escrow for such a guarantee. Perhaps that's the real solution here. Having a third, unbiased party hold the key (either a real license key or a copy of the unlocked software) means that if you were to go out of business or have other catastrophic server or business failure, the third party could provide the continuation.
