Backup Your Outlook Data
Installing Foresight does very little to your Outlook data
file (or Exchange data store), so the risk of something going
wrong during installation is extremely slim. However, it
is always a good idea to backup your important data before
installing any new software package.
To backup your Outlook data: 1) Start Outlook. 2) Click on
the File menu and Data File Management as shown below.
 3)
Click on Open Folder.

Note: if no data files are displayed in the window above, then
your data is being stored on an Exchange Server. You can
skip the rest of this proceedure. 4) This displays
the folder that contains your Outlook data file. It should
look similar to the picture below.
 5)
Click on the Yellow Folder in the upper left-hand corner
of this window, and then click Minimize. 6) Close the
Outlook Data Files Window. 7) Close Outlook. 8) Wait
approximately 30 seconds to allow Outlook to completely shut
down. 9) Click on the folder that contains your Outlook data
file, which is minimized at the bottom of your screen, similar
to the picture below.
 10) Your
data file should still be highlighted (as shown below; if not,
click on it once). Click on the Edit menu and click
Copy.

(Note: It is possible that your data file has a different name,
in which case your highlighted file will have a different name.) 11)
Click on the Edit menu again and click Paste. 12) You
should now have an icon that says something similar to "Copy of
Outlook." Congratulations! You have backed up your
Outlook data. |
