Keep Your Commitments on Track

Overview

On top of all our "stuff," we have commitments we make.  These might be commitments to other people, such as an appointment.  Or, these might simply be things we have to do on a specific day and time.  Having a way to just see what is coming up over the next three days (and blocking everything else from view) is a must to make sure we are ready for those commitments.  That is what the Calendar Widget will do.

Setup / Configuration

The Calendar Widget requires no setup.

Using

The Calendar Widget will show you what is on your Outlook Calendar for today and the next two days.

A bullet will display to the left of the calendar item that matches the current system time (the current calendar item which is due).

Items that are "in the past" are low-lighted to help you focus on the more important / current items.

If the calendar item is related to a project, a Folder Icon will appear to the right of the calendar item (as shown in the picture above).

  • Hovering your mouse over the Folder Icon will display information about the project.
  • Clicking on the Folder Icon will display the project.

Foresight Toolbar

The Outlook Calendar & Tasks forms are enhanced by Foresight.  A toolbar is added that allows you to select (or remove) a project for the item.  In addition, it contains a category dropdown to allow you to more easily pick a category for the item, as opposed to the multiple-step way provided by default in Outlook.

Notes

  • The old Outlook category field is hidden to simplify the display.
